BENIN CITY, EDO STATE – Prominent cleric Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu has publicly declared his support for the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, describing him as “the best governor” and pledging to stand with his vision and leadership “forever.”

In a statement released on Thursday, the Bishop said he was making the declaration boldly as a man of God and as a stakeholder committed to the progress of the state.

“I, _Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu_, boldly declare today that I stand with the vision, the leadership, and the administration of our Governor,” he stated. “_GOVERNOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO IS THE BEST GOVERNOR._”

Bishop Amasihohu commended the governor’s approach to governance, noting his commitment to the people, servant leadership style, and dedication to good governance. According to him, these qualities have brought renewed hope and visible progress to Edo State.

“As a man of God, I recognize leadership that carries grace, mercy, and the fear of God,” the Bishop said. “I will continue to pray for him, support him, and stand with him in building a greater future for our people.”

He concluded his declaration with a firm pledge of loyalty to the Okpebholo administration, saying: “_FOREVER I AM WITH GOVERNOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO._”

The endorsement comes amid ongoing efforts by the state government to deliver on campaign promises in areas of infrastructure, security, and human capital development.

Religious leaders and community stakeholders across Edo have in recent weeks been voicing support for the governor’s policies, with many citing the need for unity and prayers to sustain the administration’s development agenda.

Bishop Amasihohu, described in the statement as a “Man of God | Servant of the People,” called on citizens to also support the government in prayers and in practical ways as it works to reposition the state for greater prosperity.
